Terms of service

Purgio scans the web for copies of your work matching the names, handles and reference photos in your protection profile, confirms matches with recognition technology, and — after your approval — files copyright takedown notices on your behalf. You can also open a case with a copyright specialist from your dashboard.

Purgio is not a law firm. We file copyright notices on your behalf and follow up on them; we do not provide legal advice or legal representation, and no relationship you have with Purgio or its specialists is an attorney-client relationship.

You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe. You may only ask us to act on content you own the copyright in, and accounts that are genuinely yours — we verify ownership before unlocking results.

• Plans are billed monthly through Stripe. The plan determines how often we re-scan (weekly, daily or hourly).
• You can upgrade to a bigger plan at any time; you pay the prorated difference and the new scan frequency starts immediately.
• You can cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Prices exclude VAT, which is shown at checkout.

You keep all rights to the material you share with us. You grant us the limited permission to use it solely to operate the service: matching, verification and preparing takedown notices you approve. Nothing you share is published or exposed.

You may not use Purgio to target content that is not yours, to harass others, to file knowingly false takedown notices, or to probe or disrupt the service. We may suspend accounts that do.

We file takedowns diligently and keep re-checking, but removal ultimately depends on third parties (hosts, platforms, search engines). We therefore cannot guarantee that any specific content will be removed, or that every leak will be found. The service is provided "as is".

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect damages such as lost income or reputational harm caused by third-party publications.

You can stop using Purgio and cancel your subscription at any time. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as liability) survive termination.

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in the app before they take effect. These terms are governed by Dutch law. Questions? info@purgio.com.
